History

Two teacher training colleges were founded in Nowy Sacz in the early 90s. The idea to convert the colleges into School of Professional and Vocational Studies came from the regional and local authorities. The efforts to open the new educational institution were supported by the "Wiedza" society created for that purpose.

After the law of 26 June 1997 was passed, the government accepted the application and founded the School of Professional and Vocational Studies in Nowy Sacz.
